Palacio de Oriente and Almudena Cathedral
If we continue down the Gran Via de San Francisco and Bailen street, we can enjoy a beautiful walk of about 15 minutes to reach the area where is located the Almudena Catghedral and Royal Palace. Almudena Cathedral was built during the nineteenth and twentieth in a mixture of different styles: It was consecrated by Pope John Paul in 1993.
The Royal Palace holds many major official receptions and Acts of State presided by King Juan Carlos I. It is the largest royal palace in Europe in terms of area. It houses the largest collection of Stradivarius in the world and very different collections relevant to other artistic disciplines.
The interior of the palace noted for its rich artistic and ornamental, visitors can enjoy its famous collection of paintings made by artists of the caliber of Velázquez and Goya and foreign masters as Caravaggio Corrado Giaquinto, Tiepolo and Mengs.

Plaza de España and Gran Vía
Following Bailen street and passing the gardens of Sabatini, we arrive at the Plaza de España. Plaza de España is a large square, meeting point of two major arteries of the city as the Gran Via and Princess Street. Notable for a large fountain dedicated to Miguel de Cervantes and two landmark buildings like La Torre de Madrid and Spain Building.
The Gran Vía, which celebrated its centenary recently, is one of the main streets of Madrid. Starting at Alcalá Street and ending at the Plaza of Spain. It is famous for its theaters where you can enjoy the extensive theater billboard. It is also important the presence of commerce with major fashion brands. |

Prado Museum
Next to the hotel is the Prado Museum, one of the most important art galleries in the world. It houses a large and important collection of European masters from the sixteenth to the nineteenth. Its main attraction lies in the extensive collection of works by masters such as Velázquez, Goya, Rubens and Titian.
